I have tried restarting the game, restarting Steam all while trying to disconnect and reconnect the devices. I have also attempted resetting both devices while in game which worked for a fraction of a second. This happens no matter the order in which they are connected. With the (presumably) final installment of the series, Capcom simplified the engine so that it would be more accessible to casual players, in order to bring in new players, as interest in arcade fighting games had declined. I guess what I'm asking was the XInput device wireless? I am specifically experiencing an issue with a wireless XInput device and a DirectInput both being recognized by the game as first player.
